    Actually my fiancee's parents do.

    Lol, IKR?

Tru dat, and since I was about to fly here on points alone all I'm really paying for is rental car and food. Alright, I'll stop complaining like a man-child. Still got a few days left in paradise.

That and you can find them anywhere. Don't like what's on the market right now, wait a week and there will be a decent amount more available. Same goes with waiting on them, need to be ready to buy. There's been two I've had high interest in, only for them to be sold before they could update the ad. Hopefully I end up with something by the end of the weekend

I feel like the downside of a Prius is the inevitable battery failure. How much is that replacement nowadays? Has the cost gone down?

I've heard costs have gone down but I'm not sure as to how much. I'm looking for one that still has the factory warranty and has less than 50k miles so I should be able to get lots of life before the battery is down. And even if the battery dies, I'll still make out better than DDing my 4Runner and spending $100/week on gas.
There's also refurb battery packs but I'm not sure how I feel about them. As far as I can tell, it's essentially replacing the burnt out units and keeping the rest. Seems like it's only a matter of time for the rest.

about 3 years ago at Toyota we were seeing the first gen batteries finally starting to fail. Was around 10k to replace.

Under 50k miles must be hard to find. I feel like a lot of people buy these to commute and put miles with that MPG

Love my ct200h. Its the same as a prius. Just a little faster, less arrow dynamic, but its nice inside. I get 43mpg no matter how I drive on my commute. I can get mid 50s on trips. Costs like $26 to fill up and I get 400 miles out of it.

What year is that? How many miles? So far so good with it?
What made you settle on that over something more like a Prius? Fun factor?

    It’s a 2014
56k miles. I’ve put 16k on it in the last 6 months.
The Prius was boring inside. This is a Lexus inside.

You have no idea. Loudest sound I have ever heard. Most heat I ever felt (I ended up having to run through that fireball). Lost all my hair (melted to the inside of my clothes). Had mostly first and a couple second degree burns. Got hit in the jaw by a slightly melted piece of the plane. I blacked out for a minute or two from that. Woke up with my shoe on fire. I got very lucky. I had received a package that morning with a new pair of pants and a shirt. Wanted to wear them, but didn’t have time to wash them. Wore them anyway. They were still coated in the fire resistance stuff that retail stores have their stuff soaked in to help prevent fire spreading in a store fire. Only my shoes and hat caught fire.

    Oh man. Glad you survived.

That’s a PTSD inducing experience for sure.
