Where could one find this ECGS bearing/sleeve modification?

I just had an issue with a leak after installing ECGS bushing... I did have almost a puddle worth of oil on my skid plate, but it was over the course of probably a month. I had a dealership install the bushing, and they apparently "put the seal in cock eyed" by mistake. Just had them redo the seal today, hoping that was the only cause of my leak.

I watched the ECGS video and their tool is just ridiculous. What other ways are there to remove the old bearing?

Lately been hearing and feeling a harmonic vibration from front end at speeds 50 and up. Wheel bearings replaced less than 10k miles. Replaced front diff bearing with East Coast sleeve. Rotated tires. Checked front diff oil and see lots of glitter. Level is good. Always used Amsoil.

Gonna drain diff and refill with dino 75W-90 and see if anything changes. 77k miles and well maintained. Shouldn’t be having this issue with such low miles.

I know this is a little old, but thought I would answer this question. After ECGS sent me a 2nd gen piece when I needed a 1st gen, I just went and used this. It free too. So it cool I wasted $45 and a bunch of my time. Hopefully people find this and don't have to do what I did.

I used a 35mm collet to draw the bearing out. That ECGS tool is too fiddly. See my posts and pics on page 1 of this thread.

The ECGS puller works just fine. There are other ways to do it but if the tool is used correctly it takes about 30 seconds to get that bearing out.

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
Anyone know what a fast “duc duc duc duc duc” sound is hand spinning the front driver side wheel at rhe diff?

2016 tacoma TRD off road, stock other than a 0.8” lift on the Bilstein 5100s on front. Driven hard offroad 3 years, maybe 70 trips, 7K offroad miles, bad washboard roads.

Driver side needle bearing and axle seal replaced today due to huge movement of over 1/2 inch play lifting inner cv at diff. Front end was loose and wobbly doing tight slow turns into parking lots and such. Front is tight now, feels normal again. However that duc duc duc sound still there spinning the tires.

In past 5 weeks, brakes were also pulsating bad on high speed downhill, steering wheel moving almost 1 inch up and down in my hands. Not typical rotor issue unless they are guiness record breaking warped. Then doing same at lower city speeds, and I brake soft all the time. Have 45K miles on truck and original brakes, pads still good. Lots of braking power, but like driving over a series of 3 inch high speed bumps spaced a coulle feet apart. The HARD pulsing does not go away.

After doing the driver needle bearing, play at diff is normal now. Hiwever the “duc duc duc” sound from diff spinning the wheel is still there, and now the brakes are even much worse right after needle bearing was replaced.

No leakage at any cv joints, but about 6 weeks ago I did some harsh mud. Took 4 trips to the commercial pressure wash to get it all off the undercarriage. Did a lot of high pressure washing around drive axle, front axle up the inside into the brakes, etc.

Fromt brakes hammering so bad after that bearing change on just about any speed of stop, so much it is like a horse drawn buggy with wooden wheels rolling over large rocks.

Other clues. After that mud trip (but after the 4 pressure washes) front end was shaking violently under hard acceleration, trying to go from zero to 70mph to get into highway traffic. Then shaking would stop after dropping down to 50mph and steady speed.

I am thinking CV axle, inner and outer and maybe grit and a lot of water got in there?

    Confused on this one.
