I get tired of seeing pictures of them on TW but when I see them in person they are sweet. I’ve noticed they are starting to come down in price now too. Not sure if it has anything to do with the new 2020 Pro wheels coming out or not. I saw a set shipped free for around $675 the other day.

When my OEM tires wear out, (12 - 18 months) I'll be adding 17's and going up a size. That will cost extra to buy wheels and tires, but hopefully I can get some value out of my current. I like the look of the larger wheels and of course there's the better selection of tires.

16s ... the extra sidewall gives a bit of a softer ride on the sport suspension w/o turning it into mush...

You might consider Rekgen mudflaps, they are thin and flexible.

Do you have any suspension modifications done to your truck?

Your picture started me down this road. I am getting the TRD Pro 17 inch and new tires installed this weekend. Will close my wallet after this for a while.

Looks like you don’t have mud guards. Just not on or any rubbing issues with them on?

They're just not on. Wish I could verify if there was any rubbing with them on, but I took them off shortly after bringing the truck home. Just from eyeballing it, I dont think there would be a clearance problem.

About the last part of your post... that's what I said after getting the wheels and tires. Now I'm trying to decide which I "need" more... sliders or a cover.:notsure:

Ask away! Wish I could tell you exactly, but it definitely sits taller. The deeper tread did seem to add and inch or two (maybe placebo?). Honestly, after taking the predator steps and mudflaps off it just made it look taller.

Put them on today TRD Pro 17 inch rims and BFG KO2 tires.

Very happy with how they look and ride.

Are you guys finding that dealers will sell the 4runner TRD wheels without too much hassle (e.g. without a 4runner VIN)?
