Many times the tax incentives for leasing outweigh the buy/use/sell for those that own their own business. It’s a case by case thing though.

Yes and no. Someone wanting to lease a truck had a legitimate question about a lease. A few of us were trying to contribute and then the anti-lease trolls started chiming in and the whole thing went south. You know, like most discussions here.

So I made this thread, linked it, and told them where they could happily go to trash talk leases.

I was speaking more from a business sense. My truck is a asset to my business. Allows me to make money, which pays for itself, business overhead, and living expenses.
So in the end, no money is technically lost.
My 2nd gen cost me roughly 29k, I owned it for 10 years and made more than a million dollars with it. It was stolen a couple of years ago, insurance paid me 21k for it.
I am not super with math.... but I will take those numbers all day long.
