Well... 4xinnovations is a pretty well known and respected vendor. Pretty sure they are designed well enough.

Just curious what the turn around time was. How long from "order placed" to "shipped"?

    Ordered 9/17

    Shipped 10/1

**EDIT** I spoke to them just before I ordered. I knew they were in the process of fabricating them when I placed the order. The skid plates were showing a much longer lead time at the time I ordered... NOW they are currently showing "In Stock" on their page. SO the lead time could possibly be shorter, because they have them fabricated and ready to ship now.

They never mention their trans skid thickness which is interesting. I’d be curious on its weight.

I’m so surprised I can still smash my skid row ifs skid back into place after all the abuse it sees. It does wear me the fuck out doing so though.

How do you like it so far? Build, quality, etc... if you don't mind me asking.

The tent is awesome. Haven't found anything we don't like about it. We just got it this year, but have already camped in it over a dozen nights. It stays unbelievably warm. Last weekend got down to 27° with snow and freezing rain... I still had to have one of the windows zipped open about 6 inches because it was so warm in the tent. (last weekend was the only time we have had much problem with condensation, but I believe any tent would have condensation in those conditions). Only "improvement" we've made is adding an additional 2in queen sized foam mattress on top of the matress that came with the tent.

Awning seems to be good build. It's easy to set up.

We just got the annex, but my first impression is it's really easy set up. The floor is really heavy duty. The walls aren't quite as heavy duty as the tent. (Tent is rip stop Annex is not). But the walls are fairly thick material, as thick as any moderately priced ground tent... the floor, however, is much heavier than most moderately priced ground tents.

I'm sure there are plenty of gear snobs that will tell you that you have to spend $2000 on an RTT for it to be any good... but for what we have invested, and what we have experienced with the tent so far, we are completely, 100% happy with our setup.

Now... just to clarify. Just because someone has a Tepui, or CVT, etc doesn't make one a gear snob.

It's the douchebags that act as if anything "less" is garbage... you know the type.
