Btw everyone... Don't buy shoes with the BOA system for laces. I loved these Inov8 shoes at first but after two months the BOA system broke and actually came loose mid lift.

Oh well. Gonna order a set of Sabo powerlift shoes and give them a try.

Another 1.5 down, I was planning on walking it but Smokey is very easily distracted and a nice jog keeps him away from stopping at driveways and mailboxes so I jogged a bit of it.
I think he looks as content as I feel after exercising.

Ok. Scale says 155. Not too thrilled. But its ok.

Cals during my feeding window are now being upped to 2800. Hopefully that stops the weight loss.

    So I’m doing 16:8. 16 hours fast 8 hour eat window 12-8pm.

I cannot speak to any magical revelations yet. I do feel I have more energy and I’ve been sleeping better. Last few mornings I wake up ready to go at 4:30am, my alarm is set for 5am. I also am noticing I make my coffee as soon as I get out of bed but I haven’t been drinking it lol. I forget its there.

Its been a challenge trying to eat what I normally eat in 12 hours in 8 hours. But thats all about building new habits.

My schedule shifts backwards on weekends so I workout in the morning instead of afternoon. So I’m lifting 14 hours fasted on Saturdays and Sundays. I have no problems with energy while lifting so far but I have to make sure my carb meal is my first meal right after or I feel the fatigue all day.

In the morning I get the stomach growls because everything is empty, but I’m not hungry. Which is cool.

Respect for staying true to it. It’s difficult. Trying to a new time today to see if the 16/8 gets easier.

It’s funny how the body wants what it’s accustomed to. It’s weird for me trying to fit these 500 extra cals in. I dont have any trouble eating them, but my meal structures are completely different trying to fit in the extra fat. About to eat breakfast, which is very weird for me. Haha

What specifically are you finding difficult about it?

    Don’t forget your veggies lol
I think theres a tendency to cheat getting in the extra cals by eating the delicious proteins and fats so veggies get pushed to the side lol

Just getting the timing down where I can enjoy life. Technically I’d have to eat all my daily food at work which is okay but it also sucks not having like a fresh home cooked meal as part of the day lol

Not a problem. I’m a big veggie person. Now I get to cover them with cheese. Made some baked cheesy broccoli last night.

I never thought about that, no, her name is Athena (given to her by her previous humans) and it made sense to keep it not only for less training but also because my previous pup who passed very young was named Odin.

Fucked up my radial nerve somehow so I can't grip shit, which makes lifting difficult. Even loading plates is very painful. I'm 3 weeks in to no lifting. When I stopped lifting, I cut back the calories and I am down 10 pounds. Lots of water weight, I know. Still feels good. I will take next week off too and hope to get back in there the following week. I am also curious to see what Sober October does for the scale and my performance in the gym.

Smoked 385. Lost tension in the hole with 405. Probably rushed that lift a little too quick after this one. Pretty confident it’ll be there soon.

giving my elbows a break before I bench.
