    Tuskegee Airmen, the Red Tails. We had three of them retired here in Brevard County, they were awesome, told awesome stories. All three came to the museum all the time..

    That's what I was saying the one account of hitting the numbers were wrong, they hit very short taking out at least a third of the ILS stantions and that sent them towards the depot.. If you look closely at the NTSB Video you will see the engine embedded in the building, its prop was feathered. And on top of the tank was the belly turret, that means the fuselage was sitting on the tank and the fire burnt it to nothing.. I believe the remains wing you see is the bottom of the right wing..

    NTSB is out of their league on this one, the need someone like Tom Reilly up there to tell them what piece is what out of the rubble..

    I heard both accounts, smoke no smoke.. It's looking more and more like a catastrophic fuel failure.. Possibly a main fuel cross flow rupture, the popping noise that everyone were talking about is a sign of lean mixtures!

    I have only participated in 2 Plane crashes, trying to identify stuff even though you know the plane and structure very well is a huge pain . A lot of parts we as structures would know because of repairs but other stuff that was one time issue with the plane made identifying the item difficult at best with out any reference you get shown pictures of it's final resting place then the part and the hunt begins to id it . We would have depot structures guys and us scratching our heads and pawing through books for days.

    But you can have fun see what color of food goes in and what color it comes out :} Along with the tastes I suggest dill pickles or lemon meringue pie as some of the best picture worthy faces :}
