What do you man the provided screw don't hold in housing? if you drill a hole in the grooveTEK just smaller than the threads it will give you plenty of bite. Maybe i don't understand tho, so please explain :)

Maybe I'll just ask for the cross bars then, and I'll just the Alpha eX on and off?

Edit: TBH I want the full TRUSS and Alpha eX as is. Maybe I'll swap that and the Diamondback on and off.

You use the Allen bolts that come with the Baja lights(shorter of the 2). Push hard on a power drill and it will self tap into the nylon plastic. More than secure enough to hold the rock light

Thank you. I was not aware it was nylon (not surprising seeing the quality) and was afraid I’d crack it if I pushed to thread. BTW, the cable stress relief is brilliant. I see why you and upTOP partner, your products exemplify Made in USA by people who also use them. I’m proud to have this gear on my truck.

I’m really digging on the Alpha!! I think a full length cab rack looks better than a 3/4 rack. My only problem with buying this right now is I’m no electrician and I am horrible with soldering. Can this rack be used without removing the shark fin. Thanks

Replacing the shark fin with a Meso flat fin won't require any soldering! If you do go that route it's actually quite easy!

Yeah I like the look of the Alpha because it goes all the way back to the end of the cab. It would really be helpful to us that are inexperienced if there was a video or something showing in detail the install of the fin.

Also does anyone in the Maryland area have one of these that I put eyes on and check it out?
