Just got my mad hornets grill today. Will post pictures of the install after my 5k service appointment Wednesday. I will need to shave some plastic for the TSS garnish to fit as many have mentioned, but other than that... fast shipping, everything arrived as advertised.

I finally pulled the trigger on a pro grill. I went with thetacogarage.com. I did grill and aftermarket garnish for $199.00. I’m stoked to get it but I am hearing from almost everyone that they keep having codes thrown. Some go away and some don’t. I hate lights on my dash and am worried it won’t be worth it. Does anyone have his same set up and isn’t experiencing any issues?

You will more than likely get a code for a week or so. You’ll drive for 10 minutes then it will say the radar sensor is off and needs cleaned. It’s got to re-learn from the new location and setup. So just give it time and it will go away. It happened to me and has been fine ever since. Until a couple weeks ago and I put a lift on so I think that is making it relearn a little again :D

So long story short, yes you’ll likely get a code which can be annoying, but more than likely it’ll resolve on its own after a week or so of driving.

Here’s mine from Mad hornets. Was around $165 Cad shipped to me in the Maritimes, always weary ordering outside of Canada lately. I’ve a few surprise charges over the years.

Overall quality seems decent for the price, mine cane with the garnish I just had to slice a little bit of plastic from the flat tabs to get it to click in correctly. I’ve spent $165 on much worse things before!

I looked for the cheapest eBay grill. Found one for 93 shipped and got the garnish for 22. After my 5k service I'll install. I have 1k left to drive

What’s everyone’s experience going to the dealer like this? My first service a couple months back they had some sheet saying something about lifting and changing the grill with TSS but I was stock at that time ??

    Check out tacomabeast or tacogargage.com

Both have great and affordable options. Tacogarage.com offers a package which includes the garnish installed.

I got mine from taco garage. Its really good quality and overall I am happy with it, however I am pretty sure that for the moment the tacogarage.com isnt open. I think they are temporarily shutting down.

I created an account just to answer this question. Motorgenic is garbage. I tried to cancel an order, and found out it would take upwards of 2 weeks to arrive via ChinaPost. They told me I would have to pay to ship it back, and that there would be a restocking fee of 30%. Their customer service number redirects to a voicemail, and the only replies I have received were cut and paste replies, ending in “please be patient.” Not worth it ordering through them. I took the 150 dollar hit and ordered one through tacogarage.

So I purchased the Madhornets grille+garnish and im getting TSS errors every time i drive the car. It appears to work anywhere from 5-10 minutes but after that I get the sensor error and am unable to use Cruise Control. Not sure if there is anything I can do to make this work except pay 300+ for an oem garnish

Hey, I also purchased from MadHornets. I received the same error for about 2 weeks, and after those 2 weeks, the error went away and I've never seen them since. I installed mine in September of 2019.

When did you install yours? and does it say "Please clean sensor"?

Yes it basically just says TSS Sensor Unavailable, please clean sensor. The sensor is clean, I can clean it, drive, and then 5 minutes in it pops back up. Sometimes its good for like 20 minutes but always comes back on.

It should go away after a while, the sensor is just recalibrating itself I think
