Cleats dont fit anymore...need options

    I just bought and installed a hard tonneau cover for my 2017 Tacoma. I also noticed that my bed cleats no longer fit onto the rails because of the tonneau. Is there some other type of cleat or tie downs that I can install on the original bed rail? Or other options? I was thinking there may be a aftermarket cleat or tie down that is flexible and slides onto that rail or something. I hope I am explaining my dilemma properly. Thanks in advance!

    Not sure what cover you have, but the MX4 by Bakflip drops the rails down so you can still use the cleats.

    Welcome to the forum from Eastern North Carolina !

    My Extang Encore tonneau came with brackets that lowered the rails. Sorry, that information is to late to help you, but may help other folks in the future.

    Your best bet may be T nuts and D rings.

    If you get the black oxide t-nuts, I recommend painting them prior to install. They rust like crazy.
