Alabama thread!

I carry a handgun as backup, whether I'm bowhunting or rifle hunting. Looks like I'm gonna need a bigger handgun when bowhunting for elk! lol

 

I dont know about out there, but in Mi its illegal to have a hand gun on you when bow hunting

 

It's not illegal here. They passed that law a few years back. A handgun is for 2-legged animals.

I wish Alabama would become a Constitutional carry state.

 

Depending on level of fitness it gets tiresome, especially a .44 magnum or the like carrying it on the hip (shoulder holster is better idea). Works well if hunting in pairs especially if one person is just calling for the other and not encumbered with a lot of gear. However, long bladed knife can do the job. Just got to get in close!!!! A .357/.38 S&W Airweight (15oz empty) is probably a good choice as well as for a carry gun. Stay away from the yawning bear!

Drastic changes ahead today. Expect a massive and sudden drop in temps way below freezing and by the looks of it some of you up North will be getting at least 36 inches of snow by 2pm today. A trough in the jet stream dipping way down from Canada will enter the state bringing with it frigged air. This will collide with a mass of moisture from the Gulf bringing a ridiculous amount of snow. You should be able to find bread and milk at the grocery store due to the sudden nature of this storm. You heard it here first folks. I hope you aren't wearing shorts today.

@pat's taco it looks like this weather event completely misses Baldwin and Mobile counties. Highs there are expected to remain in the 90's. BUT for the rest of the state expect a shock when you leave the office for lunch.

 

I wish I could haha! What's sad is if I posted this on Facebook, it'd go viral and some people would believe it. There would be a sudden shortage of bread and milk LOL

 

Speaking of Bread, they're closing Flowers Bakery here in Opelika. This saddens me not only for the loss of jobs (place has been open forever) but also for the loss of the fresh bread smell on second avenue everyday.

 

Ask anybody that grew up in Opelika and they'll remember that delicious bread smell. Of course white bread has no nutritional value but it sure does smell good.

 

You guys in Bham, that detour is stupid. 1/10, never want to do it again.

 

if y’all want to camp at bucks pocket I’d be down. I’ve got the code to the gate. Actually need to go down there and do some maintenance for an annual camp out we have down there with the churches youth group.

 

Didn’t have a choice. Was coming from jasper to Anniston.

 

I ordered sept ‘15 drove off the lot dec 28 and have had 0 issues so far... knocking on a lot of wood.
