While this is true most guys can’t/won’t be able to put the kit together as cleanly and completely as the pre-made kit. If you’d like to give him a list of supplies and where to buy them along with directions of how to install I’m sure he’d appreciate the help. Or he can just spend a little more and buy @mattgecko kit and be done with it. Just my thoughts

Replacing everything worn, broken, and rusted.
New condenser and new tranny cooler. Condenser went out during the 95-100 degree heat wave. File under super awesome during the 1 hour commute. Oil cooler was right there and cheap insurance to replace at 14 years 140k miles. Looked like horseshit. Broke 5 rusted bolts. Thank God for a cutoff wheel.

Radiator in the near future, approx 150k miles.

Helps you find those loose 12ga bird shot high brass hiding in the recesses of the bed! I've departed this as I have the Extang Trim-Fold. Is it wired hot to the battery with a gate switch or rocker?

Would recommend the secondary air intake cover available on Amazon for about $42. Keeps most the slashed water and dirt out of the filter material.

Haha. You have a keen eye there! Even caught that it was high brass!

It is wired via 3 way switch. One in the bed one in the cab. I’ve seen guys do the gate pin setup but I wanted to be able to control it at will. Here are some pics of my switches. The other switch in the cab is for my ditch lights.

I like the switches! There are many times I have the gate open and wouldn't want the lights on when not needed. Thanks!

Ty. They are solid little switches and they come in different colors. And yes, that’s exactly how I feel about being able to control the bed lights

Looking at your build thread, did you have success with the Hypertech speedo calibration? I'm running 33" (285/70r17) BFGs.

I also noticed your preference in hand guns. Is that the backstrap of a Glock 30S poking into frame?

Yes, the Hypertech was easy to set up and install and it brought me back to normal for the Speedometer. If you noticed on my thread I left the USB cord attached and ran it down to the little drawer to the lower left of the steering wheel so I could recalibrate if needed but so far I’m good. I am running 285/70/17 Goodyear Duratracs

Another keen observation on the gun sitting on my desk in that pic. That would be my Gen 3 Glock 27. It’s my edc as of right now. Been carrying it for about 3 years. I’ve been considering buying the Glock 43 for my new edc. I have messed around with one a little bit at the range but not sure if I am sold yet.

Any issue with taking the instrument cluster apart?

I used to carry the 27 (love 40) but living in Florida and being in shorts and a polo shirt all the time, the 43 has been my edc for the past two years. I run an Osprey45 on my G30 and it runs flawless, but hard to hide that in my pants!!! :bananadance:

No issues at all getting the dash apart. There’s a good write up on here somewhere. I’ll see if I can find it and share the link with ya. Once the dash is apart it’s plug n play from there. Just unplug the harness from the back of the instrument panel and plug in the hypertech then plug the original plug into the other side of the hypertech. Very simple.

Yeah I am probably gonna give the 43 a shot! Love the single stack thickness.

Read the instruction page. Pretty easy. I'll order one and give it a shot. Tired of being off 4 mph with my OCD@!@!

Do you have a diagram for the wiring for using the two way switch?

And is it wired to be able to be turned on at all times or only when the key is in the ignition?

I will try to draw something up for a diagram and it’s wired to be able to come on any time.
