I only have a 2005 manual/diagram and I don't know if it changed (nor do I know if I'm really reading it right), but that appears to be ground point EB which is spliced with EA in generally the same location on the other side of the frame, and it's mostly lamps and relays - about 20 connections overall, some direct some through the fuse block. And for what it's worth, on my 07 that's an insulated wire. The pic you posted there looks just like the wire to the dryer element that I replaced after it had burned through the insulation and almost melted itself through, except that was over a short stretch and I see a lot of corrosion on that wire that isn't near the break. The corrosion there seems to start about where it goes into the harness and keep going on back to where the splice to the other side is.

Had a 4runner once and the plastic intake tube cracked and would suck air if you got into it

Why would you drive all the way to Pueblo West for gas and beer........?
