If you do get water spots you can slosh just a little bit of rubbing alcohol in there and that should remove them. Be careful not to get the alcohol on anything but the plastic though.

So I got the water spots out. My new bpf grille is coming today so I will reseal them when I do the grille. What kind of sealant do I use? Also I'm running around with a clear trash bag on my headlight because it's raining.

Just put a set on I bought from Amazon, they have an option for a 4 year warranty from square trade for like 10 bucks.

These look great but reading the thread, i.e. cracking lenses, burned out bulbs, peeling etc. they appear to be Chinese quality so...

Has anybody tried wiring the led strip to come on with the DRLs?

I tried, and the problem is that the drl is a duel filament bulb. 1 filament is used when the headlights are on, but it switches to the other filament when just running drl's. Then the same bulb is also used for a turn signal.
I was not happy with this so went back to the stock setup.
I have since done the anytime foglight mod. When I get some time, I plan on hooking up the led strip to be powered by the fog lights. I run my fogs 99% of the time and would like to have the led tied to that.

Did you try and run them at the same time (The regular DRL and the LED strip)? or swap their positions. Running them with the fogs is a pretty good idea! Maybe even just putting them on their own switch also.

I started out by using a electric tester to see what wire was hot with the drl. I cut the led wire, and hooked tot the drl wire. Worked fine, till I turned on the headlights and the filament switched so the led was no longer on. Also had the led flashing when I turned on the turn signal. I reconnected the led back to stock.

You could have a seperate switch, but thats more wiring then I want to do for a simple thing. Hooking to the fogs would only require a 1.5' wire down to each fog and some connectors.

Ahh I gotcha. Running it with the fogs sounds like a simple solution. I might try and mess with it this week to figure a way to run with the DRLs, maybe have to go with a switch,I have some blank switches to fill in haha. Appreciate your help!

Does anyone know if these are in stock anywhere? I tried ordering them about a month ago but they said they were back ordered with no time frame for when they would come back in stock. EDIT: Hmm, these are the 2012 ones, nvm. I need for 2009.
