What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Still would be nice to know if anyone has actually experienced this problem.

 

I have friend with a 2009 that had his frame replaced earlier this year. So the program continues and some frames continue to be affected. Sounds like Toyota figures it will cost less to replace a few frames here and there instead of changing their manufacturing process to eliminate the problem. But I have no facts or information to back up that rumor that I just started.

I like the Tacoma branding. The font just looks cool to me. I don't dig the V6 logo on the tailgate and will probably be removing that, but the Tacoma branding looks awesome.

I definitely removed the dealership logo though. They can suck a fat one.

I dipped mine also because this truck actually looks better with it on there as opposed to it not being on there. I usually debadge all my vehicles but this one look the best with it on. Did debadge that back tailgate though. Bought a new black decal for the back quarter end trd off road 4x4. So much better looking now. Also diped the wheels black and the front grill black. Next is possible bhlm, maybe?? Maybe next year

Used my Tacoma to take a piece of worn out furniture to the trash collection site.

You'll also need to do something with the boot when you detach it from the stock knob. Either just a grommet inside the metal ring (like I have), or someone was selling a 3D printed plastic part (in the B/S/T thread) that snaps in like the stock knob. It was nice, but kinda' pricey at $30+ delivered.

Maybe the term I used should have been "non-stock". Then it would have been accurate in reference to the 3rd gen Tacoma.
