That's a great way to break the shit out your elbow! Glad you're keeping a sense of humor!

I got t-boned by an out of control car on the highway on my motorcycle in April 2018. I found out in February I also tore a 6" hole in my diaphragm muscle on the right side and a fist size portion of my liver was protruding through the hole and causing the bottom 3.5cm of my lung to collapse. Basically when I hit the ground I folded in half along the length of my torso and compressed my abdomen. My guts had nowhere to go but up into my chest. In the following 10 days after getting rammed I had 18 CT scans and dozens of x-rays. The liver may not have been protruding yet and my lung was full of fluid and my chest cavity was full of air because I also broke 6 ribs and collapsed the lung when broken displaced ribs tore holes in it. The tear was probably obscured by everything else that was going on. I also broke my sternum, collarbone and a finger. I sprained the hell out of both wrists and had multiple brain hemorrhages. That was the worst part. I couldn't read or write for a while and it took me about 3 months to go up and down stairs somewhat normally. Before all this I was climbing 14,000 foot peaks and could run 10 miles at a time.

To repair the diaphragm tear they went in between my ribs and patched it with a piece of gortex. They pushed my liver back down to it's home so it'd stop harassing my lung. So far so good. The pneumothorax is gone and I feel okay. I'm just weak as hell. I lost 12 pounds in 5 days in the hospital. I'm starting to get back in shape, it'll just take a bit.

Personally, I thought we should have cut off the liver protrusion and cooked it with fava beans and a nice chianti but my doctor thought otherwise.

I'll get reimbursed for the cost but it's going to take a while.

Anyway, back to superchargers. My truck is fat and slow. I think this and a re-gear will really help.

Nice, yeah my wife and I moved to Monrovia a couple years ago before we got married. It's a great little town, not without it's issues though (been an uptick in gang violence in the shadier part of the city that's overlapped into the nicer neighborhoods a few times. Just one of those LA things that you can't completely get away from living here). But overall we love it, nice small town vibe even though it's technically in LA county. The main street Myrtle has a lot to do and we live within walking distance of it.

Ok so I called Mike at the Performance shop. So I can run methanol with the stock setup. He said it will be rich until the ECU adjusts. It will run better on hot days like it would on cool days.

So i think I’m doing methanol and 2.2 pulley. The assumption is the ECU knows what it’s doing. I think at this altitude it’s 5.5 to 6 pounds of boost, which can run stock. John, what do you think? Thanks

If you have the AFR calibrator the ECU will be tricked.

Should be fine. John doesn’t have anything besides the meth controller triggered by boost, and a smaller pulley. (And the gauge that only monitors)

OP does not have the AFR piggyback trickery computer, just stock ECU.

Every truck is a little different with having ping issues, As I mentioned before with the 2.2 pulley I had no issues running it stock with no pinging.
If your going to have the methonal running you will be fine with zero ping once’s it’s dialed in with the methonal if there was a ping issue.

An automatic will act differently than a 5 speed too.

Your over thinking this situation at this point with ECU etc.

Once it’s setup with the methonal your golden at 6000 from personal experience and then can add any pulley for more power at any time.

Methonal will not do much for cooling in the winter. In the summer will do a lot.

    Get the 2.2 pulley
    AFR Gauge

Do a before and after Dyno so you can see your results and you will see if your running lean in any areas.

With the gauge you can set your warning light to let you know your running lean.

Then in the spring you can get the methonal kit and a 2.1 pulley.

We took a ride together this evening and it definitely has ZERO pinging with the stock pulley.
It runs excellent for a stock pulley setup

Well today was a good for me, drove about 225 miles into the mountains to see the leaves changing at 10,000 feet

Then on the way home a white Tundra TRD WARRIOR embarrassed himself thinking he had more
pulling power then me up Floyd Hills 6 percent highway grade.

Just another day flying the 1st gen Tacoma Flag High, :)
