I’m suddenly in favor of safety inspections

Not all of us can sell a house and abandon a job that easily, move, get another job with the same or equal to income or essentially get a transfer, while purchasing in another state.
You make it sound easy to abandon security of your family and move

Congrats on your move. I have wondered if it is more of a "visit" place. My wife and I would like to live on Kauai maybe half time, like 6 months a year. At least give it a try. I see the main problem is that you pretty much need to import your money to live in Hawaii. :)

Yea it’s absolutely expensive as hell to live here. We pay on average 20% higher for your typical goods. Kauai doesn’t have the traffic like Oahu has, but it also doesn’t have the jobs, economy, resources, health care facilities either. My little 1040 of livable sqft town house just sold for close to 600k. Only plus side is it was on the market for 18 hours before we got an offer. Bottom line it’s just too expensive unless you clear close to 200k or more a year as a family.

Yah, go to Florida or Gawgia or wherever ya want, and pay to play with your Taco.

I’m going to be offroad camping in my back 30.6 (million) this weekend for free, and will probably not see many others while doing it, so...:bananadance:

Gotta pack, have a great weekend you all!:)

When I lived there, in the very late seventies, I watched as a vehicle that just failed an inspection was pushed into the facility for re-inspection after correcting the failing issue. I kid you not!
