Have you tried moving the cable and/or the dongle to a different USB port?

Nah literally an hour south of you. Down in Greeneville. The company I work for actually has a store in your town. Marathon on E Main is one of my stores.

Ok so getting closer, I was curious if I could just read the ECU. The error is now saying wrong ECU selected. It used to be P5, I also tried to read using the other selection as well and that didn't work either.

yes, I did that just now. I think its something with the new PCM Flash. Installing the new stuff knocked out my old software. Dropped a ticket, i was hoping it was something simple

you sure you grabbed the right ECU file for your ECU? Error seemed to be saying you didn't

you may also want to try "Clear DTC" and then retry.

Ya I’ve got the 04b30 2.0 file .pcm,

just to validate the point I tried to install the currently installed 1.05 with no luck same error.

also I realized the read error - you can never read a tuned ecu.

It will let me clear DTC, Read DTC, and Identify... I just can't write. I double checked all my drivers and what not.

I uninstalled everything and tried to use my old stuff and the old PCMFlash says "this key is not supported.please contact support to resolve an issue"

    Frustrating to say the least.

Well this is exactly what was happening with mine. As soon as it gets to the ECU ID it immediately says unsuccessful. I also got the wrong ecu message. I actually ended up with a no start but managed to get out of it by disconnecting the battery and managed to reflash. I'm now stuck on the stock tune and absolutley terrified I may brick the ecu if I keep playing with it. I've done everything that you did and even tried a different laptop. I'm also a dongle user. I've emailed the zendesk and still no reply after a week.

    I meant to thank you!
I couldn’t get to P5Flash this week too, but I remembered your post.

Clear old data with flash manager, update and reinstall. Then open up pcmflash from windows file manager.

I'll give it a shot. One thing I've always wonder, why when you open up flash manager it says there is an update available and if you accept it sends you to a Russian website. Is this what your referring to as the update?
