New 2020 TRD Sport Rims.

Saw these picking my truck up from the dealer after a service tonight.

 

Not bad. But not great

 

I think they make the last version of the sport rims an instant classic. These seem more....I dunno....obtuse(?).....to me. Hard to put my finger on it.

They’ll probably grow on me.

 

They remind me of the tundra wheel. With a little Corolla mixed into it.

Looks like mutated off road trim wheels.

Look like the off-road wheels but with the aluminum and dark grey paint scheme reversed slightly.

 

That's what I said when I picked up my '18 sport.
Had them on craigslist @ 200 miles.

 

Better than previous years but not great. The OR is equally unimpressive.

But this isn’t new territory. Stock wheels are generally... well, stock wheels. There’s an aftermarket for a reason.

 

Silver and black may be over, but let’s face it, there is nothing more ‘over’ than all black rims. Those have yesterday written all over them.

 

Sad thing is there isn’t a lot of options for. Aftermarket wheels that aren’t black .

 

For what they are, the stock OffRoad ones are fine to me. The sport rims historically made me cringe

 

See I really like the 16-19 stock sport rims. It's a classic five spoke design which reminds me a bit of a time when a pickups were a bit simpler and more manly

 

The try-hard bros run the aftermarket. It’ll change again like any fashion. There was a time when these were the coolest aftermarket rims on the planet:



Nice to see a modern (ish) truck rocking them.

 

As a Sport owner, nope!

Mine are only slightly better. They would look killer in satin black or dark grey. There are options for that though.

 

The new sport wheels look too much like the off-road factory wheels now. I’ve never been a fan of the all black wheels. Looks like a plastidipped wheel to me. I’m just getting crotchety, don’t mind me.

 

I love the 16-19 sport wheels.

I found a set on Craigslist within a month of buying my SR5.
