There’s something kinda classic that makes a chrome bumper look tough.

    Are those steel wheels?

Same here man! Not sure about you but the thing I do dislike is that they are E rated and I hear they are much heavier.

I’d agree with you in regard to 2nd gens, but when you KNOW it’s plastic, the illusion dissipates quickly. When I got my 3rd gen, I was stunned (and disappointed) when I discovered it was a plastic bumper all the way around.

No harm, no foul. That’s the automotive industry in general now days. Saves us ten bucks in fuel over the course of ten years.

That's not it of course, its that molded and 'chromed' plastic is much cheaper than its steel equivalent.

tacoma-cement.jpg Well, the body shop I use did an excellent job color-matching my shell. I bought it used for $600. Color is Silver Sky. The body shop painter said the Cement color from Toyota for the Tacoma has 3 different variances. Me and the painter picked the one that looked the closest. I couldn't be happier with the end result. It matches perfectly...photo doesn't do it justice.99-Taco-Shell.jpg

Sometimes I do the extended look back. I just stand there feeling around my pockets like I forgot something so people don’t think I’m weird, just stupid.
