I liked the extra thigh support that I could get out of the power seat, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with the larger factory touch screen is awesome to have, and there just wasn't much that the Pro had over the OR besides cosmetic details, fox shocks/slight lift, and an exhaust sytem (which I couldn't care less about on a V6 powered vehicle). This 2020 OR also has a Homelink mirror, which I didn't think was available in anything but a Limited or Pro, so that was a nice surprise. The LED headlights are pretty awesome looking too. I know most of that stuff can be purchased aftermarket, but it's nice to have those genuine Toyota parts which are factory installed.

So basically the 2019 Pro was getting me fox shocks, hood scoop, grille, exhaust, embroidered head rests, different skid plate and a bit more rarity, but I would have needed to purchase a tonneau cover, LED headlights, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto head unit, and retrofit a power seat if I wanted the other features that came on the 2020 OR.

At the end of the day, my out-the-door price for the discounted Pro would have been the same as the price I paid for this 2020 OR. I was actually able to use employee pricing through a family member, so I got the OR for invoice, minus holdback, minus wholesale finance reserve. The 19 Pro with the employee discount was the same price as the 2020 OR.

I’ll be sure to report back on how they are riding. On and off the road.

Would you mind posting a pic of the window sticker or the vin so I can look at the exact packages on your OR?

I can do that. I'm not with the truck right now, but I'm going down to get it today.

I can say that I know it has the LED headlights, tech package (not advanced tech), premium package, blackout package, tonneau cover, mud guards and I think there's some door sill protection film too. I'll report back later once I have the sticker in my hand.

Thanks. You really just answered the question. I was wondering which package included homelink. I’m not planning on the advanced tech camera package.

A pic of the sticker will be great when you get time.

Is this your first 3rd gen Tacoma?

Unless they changed it, the only trim that comes with Homelink from the factory is the Limited I believe. I don't think even the Pro had it. But a lot of dealers put them in as a dealer add-on, so that might be what it was.

also, looking at 16” AT’s in the 285/75 size, they are all coming E rated. I looked at Falken, BFG and Nitto. I guess that’s just the norm. :notsure:

Well, if Toyota would ever release the 2020 brochure, we could see for sure.

Picked this one up on Thursday:

Coming from a 2015 TRD OR M/T, I put about 1,200 miles driving it home, and so far everything is good.

    The good:
    -A solid 3mpg better than my 2015
-Adaptive cruise control is nice, I went hours at a time not touching either pedal on the highway
    -Car Play
-I didn't really like the wheels in the pictures I saw online, but they are much better in person. They have a knurled finish that is really cool looking.
-Power seat is nice to have
-Cabin is quieter, there is still more wind noise than a lot of other vehicles, but it's an improvement over my 2015

    The not so good
    - No driver side a-pillar grab handle. I've gotten so used to using it to get into my 2015 for the past 4 years and not it's not there anymore!
-No fold down rear head rests - I rarely have passengers, so it'd be nice to have the visibility.
-The transmission is a little weird. Mind you, this is my first automatic transmission in about 10 years. On the highway it will drop from 6th down to 4th to accelerate up a hill or from 75 to 80, and then it stays in 4th for maybe 10-20 seconds at 3,500rpm then shifts into 5th, which gets me around 2500rpm, stays there for about 10 seconds, then goes back into 6th at 2000rpm. It is kind of weird, but maybe it'll get better?

Regarding the headrests, are you sure about that? My 2017 headrests did.

Regarding cruise control, FUCK! That was one of the reasons I sold my 2017. :(

I'm pretty sure - there isn't a lever on the side to fold them down like on my 2015.

Are you sure about the head rests, they fold down on my 2017?

They work differently. You raise them then fold forward.

Got off the phone with my sales guy from the local dealer, he said he can't get pricing at the moment since it has to be ordered in and that when it's been built pricing can be discussed? Is this what others have been finding out as well? I just want to make sure before I place the order since i know the truck is mine when it hits the dealership and I would have the VIN to start looking around at pricing from other dealers. He said right now probably 1500-2000 off sticker.
