yea it does barely fit...but u don't even need that piece on the end...its only there if you need to winch yourself out.


and its bolted tight. that jack never even moves. its not gonna rub away at the bed

 

I wish, it is a '98 328i with alot of M parts on it though! I would love to have that exact car in an M. '98 Avus blue metallic 4-door, oh and I woudl want a manual, ours is a automatic.

 

I've actually used the piece a few times to compress/hold things. Figure it'll also be useful as a jaws of life like device if I ever come across an accident. Oh, and I want get a winch kit at some point so.....

Then again, I like to be prepared so I don't leave part of a tool at home and wish I had it later.

 

well....with the tools and all in my toolbox, i cant mount it inside like i'd like to. im thinking on the front outside of the box maybe. hopefully there is a way to lock/secure them from theft though. if not, i'll ixnay that idea and go a different route.

 

ok, cool. well....at least i know there is a deterrent. i'll probably get one later when i get some of my other mods outta the way.

what all does the hi-lift come with...just the jack and handle, or does it come with mounts and stuff too??

Got mine at Tractor Supply Co. They had a Hi-Lift and some other brand. Have some of the accessories too.

Yea it is, had to make some adjustments due to the hard cover. It rattled at first, but I added some wire cover to the base side (near beack of bed). Now no issues, and I used it the other day, not to jack but to pull a log out of the way.

 

i got mine at Napa autoparts, but i've seen them at TSC, Big R, and other farm supply stores. an off road shop usually has them in stock too.

 

I got mine online from 4wheel parts not a bad price but i called to see how much they were and they marked them up $20+ from their internet price he then tells me print the add i said you can look for yourself but i just got it online and picked it up there.
