That's probably the same one we experienced here.
It was the only earthquake I've ever experienced.
I was startled at first and it didn't compute.
It was mild of course and did minimal damage.
But as I recall, it lasted maybe half a minute(?)

 

Yeah, it was the 8.2 that epicentered in West Virginia.

 

Maybe inflicting my interpretations onto you, but now were splitting hairs.

 

As I recall, there was a tremendous earthquake at New Madrid in 1812.
The Mississippi flowed backwards for a short time, it's said.
It only happens there every couple hundred years in Misery.
Maybe you're due.

 

8.2 is no joke.

I remember the one that dropped part of the bay bridge, ruined SF buildings, split the Coliseum during the Giants vs As world series. I was a kid in my backyard an hour from SF and the ground shook so much it put me on my ass.

 

I barely felt the one in 2011.

 

Yeah, I sure felt the WV earthquake a couple hundred miles away.
