Glad that’s solved. Regarding the cruise control, report back in about 5000 miles. By then it will be fully broken in and normalized.

A full review at that point would be very welcome. I would certainly appreciate it.

Will do. And yes, first non GM vehicle I have ever owned, and first vehicle newer than 1998. I like manual transmissions and domestic auto manufacturers just don't offer them in any trim packages that I want. Maybe a base colorado or canyon with a 4-cyl, but that's it.

I know the 2019 Pros that I drove had it and I'm pretty sure they had it when I drove 18 Pros too. I've been shopping for a long time lol.

Just stopped by my local dealer and spotted a 2020 TRD Off Road in Quicksand. Couldn’t help but compare the grille and taillights to my 2019. I noticed the fog light surround on the 2020 Off Road is the same as the surround previously on the SR/SR5/Limited.

The new grill looks great. The tail lights look horrible.

Coming from a 2015 TRD OR M/T, I put about 1,200 miles driving it home, and so far everything is good.

The good:
-A solid 3mpg better than my 2015
-Adaptive cruise control is nice, I went hours at a time not touching either pedal on the highway
-Car Play
-I didn't really like the wheels in the pictures I saw online, but they are much better in person. They have a knurled finish that is really cool looking.
-Power seat is nice to have
-Cabin is quieter, there is still more wind noise than a lot of other vehicles, but it's an improvement over my 2015

The not so good
- No driver side a-pillar grab handle. I've gotten so used to using it to get into my 2015 for the past 4 years and not it's not there anymore!
-No fold down rear head rests - I rarely have passengers, so it'd be nice to have the visibility.
-The transmission is a little weird. Mind you, this is my first automatic transmission in about 10 years. On the highway it will drop from 6th down to 4th to accelerate up a hill or from 75 to 80, and then it stays in 4th for maybe 10-20 seconds at 3,500rpm then shifts into 5th, which gets me around 2500rpm, stays there for about 10 seconds, then goes back into 6th at 2000rpm. It is kind of weird, but maybe it'll get better?

I had the same issue with my rear headrests. I just took them out and called it a day. Much improved

We definitely agree on the taillights. I guess Toyota tried to compliment the chrome bumper caps.

Got off the phone with my sales guy from the local dealer, he said he can't get pricing at the moment since it has to be ordered in and that when it's been built pricing can be discussed? Is this what others have been finding out as well? I just want to make sure before I place the order since i know the truck is mine when it hits the dealership and I would have the VIN to start looking around at pricing from other dealers. He said right now probably 1500-2000 off sticker.

$2K off on dealer sites around here. Another $750 is usually discounted from the web price.

I see one that is closer to the MSRP I am looking at that is 2400 off so I should be able to get hopefully around that. If not I'll turn to Costco, the $60 might be worth it.

So with remote connect, when you start the truck remotely, is there any way to keep it running once you open the door?

I think it's silly to have the truck immediately shut off when you open the door and you have the key on you.

I have a 2019 TRD 4x4 Offroad and I watched the YouTube videos of the 2020.

Main difference I see is the headlights to led.
Also they messed with the engine for emission and some other crap. Its ehh I would stick to the 2019 if there was a noticeable price difference.

It pisses me off I dont have a grab handle on the driver side, my 3rd gen 4runner has one and 03 taco has one. But my 40k new truck doesnt.

I wouldn't worry about how the Trans is shifting as long as it not downshifting to 1st at 65mph and over revving your engine(I'm exaggerating). The Trans is functioning properly when downshifting for increased power uphill.
