That's uh, not gonna be strong enough even tied to joists. Maybe to lift 200-350lbs, but anymore will bend the keepers on the strut

I blame you on the whole e-brake line thing since you mentioned it some weeks back :anonymous:

I don't really remember what the reason was...was it a 4x2 vs 4x4 thing or just older Tacoma vs newer one

Oh wait.. I think it was an elocker vs non elocker thing lol.

Just woke up so I'm slow as hell right now

Lol...must be nice waking up so late :stirthepot:

It was the whole BPV relocation bracket kit thing; I had posted a pic of my trucks rear end when I cleaned everything up and you questioned the e-brake line. Then you got my mind wandering since your line runs center along the rear end vs mine that runs above.

It's just one of those "differences between X vs Y" model years.

Some people see a C4 Corvette and would guess any year in the 80's-90's; the wheels themselves can give it away even further if you can tell the difference.

    Everything but the driveshaft. B03A - 410
Pulled out the Toyota bed liner. A bit dirty underneath. Good to see no rust formations under there.

I'll sand this down, prime and paint on the way back together. I want to keep it dry until I'm done.

I get up early as FU even when I don't want to; lately it's been cold though WTF.

Was planning on driving up to Lost Coast (which would've been even colder, but still beautiful) but apparently some of the roads are closed down up there.

I’m not lifting engines or anything. I’m just lifting a painting rack for horns. Far below the 300 pounds rated for lag screws.

I know it was an option but I've never seen one either, probably pretty rare before the TRD package.

How would you do it? Plan was for a 12’ length of Unistrut with 6 hangers from the joists. I have a finished ceiling so they’re going to have to be 4” lag screws. They’re good for 300lbs of shear force each. At six points of attachment, that’s 1,800 lbs before the lag screws fail. The lift is only capable of 400 lbs, which is more than I’ll ever use it for.

Actually felt like Fall down here this week, usually we don't get Fall weather down here until after Halloween. But of course this weekend it's supposed to get into the 90s again
