They’re still somewhat decent near Telluride too....thinking last weekend would’ve been ridiculous. Oopsies.

Hey gents. Finally installing my new drive shaft from Bills (after breaking the other one ) and need a 2nd look from you all. Not sure if the splice/yoke should be this far out when all tires are resting on the ground. Anybody else have a 2nd gen DCLB that can crawl under their truck and verify for me? I don't have much more play to extend and little concerned with the 14 inch shocks and down travel. Next up is jacking the truck up and setting it on the frame and lowering the rear axle.

You don’t have any splines showing so you should have a good bit of extension still. If you gave them the right measurements it should be the same as before.

I have a total of 3 inches of yolk/spline play but when connected it extends 2.25 inches leaving only .75 inches of extension possibility.
And no I did not give measurements when I dropped it off. They just wanted to know what vehicle it came off of and they would do the rest.

At full droop I have 3/16 inches left of yolk/spline play. Just a little too close.
To avoid using all the yolk/spline before it hits the stop I'd like to have another inch on the shaft.

That’s definitely cutting it close. It’d be easy for it to get in a bind with that amount and under the load if the truck it could easily flex more. Probably be worth taking detailed measurements and letting them know.

Just FYI, your carrier bearing is on upside down. Single hole points down.
