The bed bolts? The t55s? They hold the bed down

(I’ve only down a few 1st gen frames... but those definitely hold the bed down..)

Down to what, they don't have to be removed to remove the entire bed.

I suppose I could go find that exploded diagram of the truck... But that's a lot of work

There’s six(or 4?) bolts you have to get under the bed

On second gens the t55s hold it down. On a first gen they're all done from below

It moved. It finally moved. Got it up to 38mph driving around the block. Transmission seems loud to me but I haven't installed the console or boots yet.

Now I just need to replace the mechanical speed sensor with an electrical one I have and the truck is good to go. Oh and install the new parking brake. Should be like $50/month to insure according to a quote I got.
(Oil spots are from a Pontiac Fiero)

Man I wish I could insure my truck for $50 lol. I think I have a pretty good rate for CA though at $118/month...my deductible is high though. Which isn't really a big deal though when you have a 14 year old vehicle.

I have zero claims or tickets on my record too and that's the best rate I can get, except I'll probably be switching to USAA soon...supposedly they can get me a better one.

I have USAA. This flatbed is only liability meanwhile I want to say my double cab is a bit over $100 with USAA. Being under 25 and male even with a clean driving record is depressing when it comes to this stuff.

If you can get USAA, get it.

I just looked up what I pay; before getting rid of the 2010 C6 Corvette it was costing roughly $75/mo. with 2 drivers (my girl and I).

The 5.0 is at $83/mo. with 2 drivers, and the Tacoma is at $53/mo. with 2 drivers.

Full coverage on all vehicles at $500 collision deductible on both, $50 comprehensive on the Tacoma with $0 on the 5.0; the Z06 is non-op and uninsured and so is the C4.

Yeah, age is a big factor in insurance rates. Young people get reamed hard with higher rates even with clean records. I know a girl who's ~25 and paying almost $400 a month with a $1000 deductible. She has a couple at-fault claims though. I couldn't imaging paying that much for freakin insurance every month.
