    Naa, too far south, but we are in blue crab country. But just a comparison. Back in the day, about 30 years ago, we would spend $10 for a bushel of mixed size live, fresh off the boat females. $20 for medium sized males.

    This day and age, a bushel will run you anywhere from $250 to $400 a bushel.

    Yea, no shit.

    Now, if you have the time, you can invest in some hand line baskets, chicken necks, and spend anywhere from 3 - 6 hours not including driving to/from the water.

    Typically the wife and I will buy a dozen steamed females (@ $26) a lb of steamed shrimp (@ $15) and a half dozen ears of corn (@ $2.50) and we are happier than pigs in shit.
