Anybody know about how much it costs for a new head gasket install on a 3.4?

I just found a 95 T100 for $2k with 260k miles, 4wd, manual trans and 3.4, just needs a head gasket.

All depends on what you want to do only head gasket, that would be cheap. Now if you are going to replace some knock sensor and other stuff then it’s going to add up. So far I’ve spent a little over 1k on my head gasket job. that’s replacing some sensors, other stuff that broke got the heads pressurized, resurfaced, and new valve stem seals, the head gasket set from Toyota.

It's an elocker third which is the same in both.

 

The bumper mounts are coming along. I soaked them in acid overnight to dissolve the rust. This morning I hit them with the sandblaster for a final cleaning.

I just primed them a few minutes ago.

If your paying a shop? Probably over 1k. If you diy the top end gasket kit from Toyota is about $300 bucks and it’s something that can be done in a weekend with mediocre mechanical skill. Just need a torque wrench in terms of special tools
