Nah, that game will be fierce. OU has no D. And the longhorns will be able to contain Hurts. Its gonna be close and based on huge break-out plays via the air. I give it 50/50 odds.

Yep, as a Husky fan, that was my reaction last night as well. You kinda get used to it after a while and take solace in poking fun at/antagonizing SEC fans that have legitimate hopes of going to a bowl game. No respect for Florida, ever. hehehehehe

I’m gonna guess this was UT’s first TD last night? If I’m not mistaken, Lecounte got absolutely toasted on a double move

Neyland was insane last night. For a quarter and a half. Then that place pretty much went silent.

My one issue with Kirby is why it takes so long to adjust? Their wrs were running wild in our zone defense. Looked like we started playing man in the 2nd half and played way better. I know I’m not coach and can’t do better but I was seeing early on how they were picking apart the zone coverages. But of course I was limited to what I could see on tv.

Same crap happened for notre dame. And the last 3 years in general. 5 yard slants are wide open and lead to a first down almost every time. The soft zone leaves it wide open and I don’t know why we can’t adjust somehow.

I don’t know if this was talked about already because I didn’t read back, but....

les miles defense forced a punt on 4th and goal. How does that even happen?

Spoken like a true Texas fan. Texas is not back yet, give it some time. They need a couple more good, yet disappointing, seasons to get their recruitment up to snuff, then they will be a legit and deserving top 10 team. They are gonna a two loss team this year, and finish ranked somewhere between 13-8 in the rankings. After the3y get their recruitment sorted, they will start finishing comfortably in the top ten again.

Also speaking of recruiting, has anyone bought into the conspiracy that California's bill to pay players endorsements is to bring some dignity back to the Pac12 by trying to buy SEC recruits and transfers?

Im sure that’s part of it, but they were stupid if they thought they’d be the only state to do it. I think it’s up to 11 states now that have brought it up.
Also, the pac12 won’t be a thing anymore unless the NCAA adapts and accepts the payments. If not, the states that accept it will all form their own governing body and the NCAA, and therefore the PAC12, will no longer be a thing.

Yeah, right? Makes complete sense to me. If I was any good at football in college/high school, I'd make the same decision. Might as well make 50k a year for the three years leading my getting drafted.

.....that might not be a bad thing. The NCAA makes too much money off these kids. Its not like these players have the opportunity to take advantage of their free education.

Number 9 in the country with their lone lose being away at the number 3 team in the country. I’ll take it.
