I wouldn't worry about flashing back. They are just going to overwrite it.

For the record my flashing issue was my fault.

Matt got to my ticket in under a day and got me straight

As usual great product, great service.

AFAIK, first beta 2.0 4:88 map was performance tune with aggressive throttle, current 4:88 map is base tune with mild throttle.

yes, as stated in the description the last 2.0 beta that I installed initially had the exact same problem. This was the 2.0 beta with the octane learning.

I downloaded 19800 back on 10/1 when the pcm version of it was available. I am not attempting the p5f file

@Moots34 luckily my ECU is still on beta 2.0 with octane learning and didn’t get into a state where the ecu is bricked or permanent CEL. Keep me posted with what Matt uncovers with yours. What ECU version are you and are you dongle or non?

Has anyone received instructions for the Handheld flash kit upgrade yet?

@OVTune Are we supposed to submit a ticket to get the instructions emailed to us or will everyone that purchase the HH upgrade automatically receive the email with the instructions.

    Thank You.

I want to purchase the OVtune. Is it currently not for sale during their move? Is it recommended to run a new truck for x amount of miles before tuning. My 2019 is currently sitting around 2k miles. Been very happy with the truck but after reading pages of this thread I’m hoping to get better performance and lasting engine life out of the tune.

I don’t have a laptop, but have a win10 desktop in my garage. How long is the cable provided?

They are currently closed temporarily as they make a move among other things. Customer support is still available but pretty sure no sales until after the move.
The cable is not long enough, I had contemplated letting my pc ride shotgun on a long extension cord but just borrowed my brothers laptop instead as I can borrow it indefinitely.

Gotcha. Is it a usb to ob2 type plug? Has anyone tried using a usb active extension successfully? I’d hate to purchase a seperate pc just for the tune. My truck can be parked within about 3ft to my machine.

Awesome I appreciate the input. I’ll search around some more. If anyone is running a longer type cable successfully let me know what you use. Thanks again TW.

Another question I had. Can you use the same obd2 dongle that you get with OVTune for techstream? Or recommended to buy and use a seperate one for techstream, I will be purchasing it soon as well.

Yes, you can use the same cable for techstream.
I think your pc should be fine as long as you can get it within reach of the obd2 port under the steering column.

For those of you in the know regarding Matt's move...I sent in my laptop ID last week (week ago) and haven't heard back. Should I still expect the appropriate key? uh. Pin? whatever it is ..to happen during the move? I'm sure things are slower right now. I just don't want to bug them..

    Thanks

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
I think he will get you set up. He mentioned he will still work on pending orders and customer support. He fell behind due to a power outage the other day. With the move and a new little one he's doing the best he can so may be a little longer. :hattip:

Thank you for the quick answer. I am glad there are many folks on this forum who understand this product. I am still not sure what/how to use it when I get it. I just want the truck to run/shift like a real truck. I don't really understand the tunes., which update the truck has, or which tune to use, but I figure that someone on this site will. I'll be back when I get key.

    Regards and appreciative..
