I live in GA and was looking at both voodoo and cement and voodoo will not be making it to the southeast for a few months. Unfortunately southeast Toyota region seems to suck for the 2020 and with San Antonio plant being down and not producing all the cool options west coast is getting we will either not get it at all or it’ll be months before we do

$42.5k OTD? There's no way that's the OTD price on a full loaded 2020 OR. I'm waiting on delivery of practically the same build and I'm at $42k BEFORE TTL. That's $1000 over invoice. I figure I can talk it down to $500 over invoice. So depending on where you are and what TTL is, you're looking at just under $45k OTD for fully loaded like that. Not $42.5k. Otherwise they'd be selling you the truck for like...$2k UNDER invoice? That makes no sense.

The whole video was full of BS. Don't know how anyone can trust the guy or his videos. Treating the predator steps like they are sliders, thinking an SR5 with a couple bolt-ons for $42k is a good deal, etc etc.

Looks like I’m also in the wrong business! Maybe TW should add a Job Postings thread.

Ugh...OTD is not a useful figure - we don't know what your state taxes are, nor do we know what your dealer fee is, nor do we know what your DMV fees are.

FOR ALL INQUIRING ABOUT FAIR PRICING, PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE YOUR TAXES, DEALER FEE or DMV FEE IN THE PRICE.

The OTD price I posted included none of those things. Taxes and DMV fees are not part of the negotiated price and the "dealer fee" is either included in that final price or waived - I cannot tell.

It helps if we try to use a common terminology. This avoids confusion and frustration when someone attempts to help you give/receive useful information.
For clarity the majority of people, including dealerships, use OTD to mean Out The Door price to mean 100% of the cost a customer will be required to pay to get out the door with the vehicle they bought.

So, the number you posted was the negotiated/final sales price or price before Tag, Title, Tax, Fees. Which is not the OTD price in ANY place I have lived or purchased a vehicle.

If I get a OTD number, which is "signed" by the dealer, from a dealer claiming it is OTD and then they come back and start adding tax, dealer fees, tags, eor ANYTHING. I am gonna tell them to take a long walk on a short pier. We agreed on $X OTD which includes EVERYTHING I pay to get Out The Door.

As was stated earlier, an actual OTD price is useless on a forum that covers more than a single municipality due to differences in taxes, laws, etc.

    I hope that helps.

Again - the OTD price I listed is what I will pay to leave with the car. I will give the dealer a check for this amount. No tax, no reg. fees. If dealer fee exists then it is in that price. That is final price. I have no idea why there remains confusion on this issue - it wouldn't make sense to include fees/taxes that vary by location.

Maybe it is different where you are, but I believe most places when you buy a new vehicle they take care of the taxes, registration, etc. for you when you purchase it. You don't go anywhere else. You don't take the title to the DMV and pay taxes and such there (like you would for a buying a used car from a private party). The dealer does all that for you. They file all the paper work and pay anything needed to the government on your behalf. So the "out the door" price includes those taxes and fees.

Kind of like when you walk into a store and buy something. When you checkout they calculate the taxes and collect them from you. Then they submit that money collected to the government as needed. And just like with a car, the % taxes can differ between states and regions. Some states have no sales tax and some are really high. So to compare more fairly what people are paying for their Tacomas, it makes more since to compare the price of just the vehicle itself and not include taxes, filling fees, etc. that may be different between areas.

Wow I ended up putting more into that then I had thought/planned...
