    UPDATE 2024/04/04

So a few changes since the last update. It was getting close to time to rebuild the TRD Pro shocks, and considering what I've done to the truck I decided a full suspension upgrade to better handle the weight would be more appropriate. I went with a custom Accutune Stage 4(A?) kit with the following additions:

    - Accutune UCAs
    - Fox 2.5 Performance Elite front coilovers (custom tune)
    - Accutune front reservoir mounts (to avoid damage to the reservoir from the sway bar)
    - Deaver Expedition Stage II leaf springs
    - Accutune u-bolt flip kit with bump stops
    - Fox 2.5 Performance Elite rear shocks (custom tune)

Other ADDITIONS to the long list below:

    - Decked drawer system
    - Backwoods Adventure Mods rear high-clearance bumper
    - Prinsu Roof Rack

    DELETIONS from the list below:

    - OEM roof rack (replaced by Prinsu)
    - OEM bed mat (replaced by Decked)
    - Firestone RideRite Airbags (yeeted, appropriate springs installed, weight less variable)
    - Plano bins (replaced by Decked)
    - Hi-Lift Jack (never needed)

Loving how it rides and handles with the new suspension, and the Decked system is much more convenient.

    Here's Bumbles now:

    UPDATED 2022/05/6

Since I'm on my 4th Tacoma (one 1st gen, two 2nd gens, now a 3rd) and 6th Toyota truck (not counting the wife's 4 4Runners), and actually doing things to it, time for a build thread.

Started with a Cavalry Blue TRD Pro, no bed-side stickers, LED bed lights. Purchased for $3K under MSRP.

Trying to remember everything, going front to back kind of, not in the order things were done:

    - Backwoods Adventure Mods Hi-Lite Bumper w/Pathfinder lights (clear)
    - Warn VR-10S winch
    - TRD Cold Air Intake (for looks and sound, FO haters)
    - TRD Oil Cap
    - Redline Hood Struts
    - OEM Roof Rack
    - ROAM 6.5' Awning
    - AVS window shades
    - Miller Cat catalytic converter protection
    - CBI bolt-on sliders
    - CBI Expedition Rack
    - Total Chaos Bed Stiffeners
    - OEM bed mat
    - Westin tailgate mat
    - 2 large and 2 small Plano bins for camping gear
    - RTIC cooler for beers and food and beers
    - CVT Mt. Shasta Standard Stargazer Summit RTT
    - 265/75 R16 BFG KO2 tires, E-rated
    - Black Gorilla Lug Nuts
    - Firestone RideRite Air Bags
    - Rear Diff Breather mod
    - OneUp hitch rack for MTBs
    - Midland MXT115 GMRS Radio w/ hood hinge mount antenna
    - HiLift jack mount and jack
    - QuickFists for axe and shovel
    - Fire extinguisher
    - WeatherTech floor mats
    - Kenwood KFC-XP6903C 6x9 + 3-1/2" Component Speakers
    - JBL GT7 speakers in rear doors
    - Kicker Key 104.4 4-channel amp
    - Amazon Basics sound deadener in doors and rear cab
    - TacoGarage RAM mount for tablet
    - Covercraft Custom Canine rear seat cover
    - Abominable Snowman plush toy (mascot/sidekick - all my trucks get one)

    Possible future upgrades:

    - Extra battery and 12V power distribution
    - Onboard air (currently using a SLIME pump that is actually pretty impressive)

Things I have changed over time:

    - The big Action Packers were just too unwieldy to unload and reload on trips where you are moving to a new site almost every day. I didn't need all that room anyway, so I got some smaller Plano boxes with roller wheels on one end, much easier to move around. I added some smaller Plano chests for clothes and other stuff.
    - The Kicker tweeter upgrade and JBL speakers was just not enough, so I added a Kicker Key amp. Adding the Kicker Key amp added some volume, but sound was still just not clear. So, I swapped the front setup out for the Kenwood component set, with the larger mid-range dash speakers. This is not a factory drop-in and did require some cutting to get them to fit. I'm running the Key in bi-amp mode now, just pushing the front speakers, and just have head unit power going to the rears for ambience. It's usually just the dog back there anyway, and he don't care. MUCH better sound and soundstage.
    - Sound deadening helped quiet things down a bit, wish I had gotten some readings before and after. The Amazon Basics stuff is reasonably priced. If I ever have cause to remove the headliner, I have enough to do the roof as well.
    - My crew has all swapped to GMRS, so I pulled out the CB.

    As she sits now.

Have the TA KO2s in E rating changed your ride quality? Also, any pics of your Warn winch set up?

I'd say yes, but not a lot and not nearly what I expected. Really liking them. Took a trip to Colorado in August and they did great on and off road.

Here's a pic before I cut the hoop off -- the hoop blocks the radar, so messes with TSS and cruise.

Here's the best I could find of the front after cutting off the hoop.

If you don't mind saying, why did you cut off the hoop?

Well, mainly because it interfered with the TSS. But also because I didn't necessarily like it and it serves no real purpose. I like the clean, nearly stock look without it.
