Ya. Truck lived most of it's life in CO. 2nd owner has only had it in the Northeast for a years, but it's been oil undercoated since he bought it so it's pretty clean (besides the oil...) underneath.

 

Did you sell the FJ? Or is this just an addition?

 

Morning all. Hope you all had a nice weekend. A crisp 30 degrees at the house yesterday inspired me to clean out the chimney and replace the door gasket on the downstairs stove, but now we're not supposed to get below 40 for the next few days

I was going to warn you to check the frame rail beside the gas tank and the bed mounts over the rear axle, but it looks like I'm too late

I spent 30 minutes crawling all over and under that thing. She has a little scale on the frame, but no rot. VERY solid!

 

Havent sold it yet, but i'm going to. I need to give it a good washing before putting it up for sale. Why, you in the market for another?

Yeah, I was at 27 yesterday when I left the house at 5:15. Then this morning 67F at 6am. Gonna be a whole winter of that I bet, 15 below for the entire week, then when the front approaches, 45F and rain...

 

Just like last year, then.
By the end of February I had probably 6 inches of ice behind the house, because every time it'd snow it'd warm up and rain, and then come off cold again and lock everything up.

 

Right, last year I spent at least 2 nights a week going to the DPW and filling buckets with sand just to combat the ice on the driveway.

The mad dash to make the building weather-tight before the bottom falls out of the thermometer! We just knocked down our existing buildings so we'll be making the same push next Fall.
