I get all my meat cut into burger and jerky now. It's what we eat the most of! Kids can't wait for deer chili, deer spaghetti, deer burgers and deer perogis!

Our tradition is to eat the backstraps that night. Butterflied and soaked in Italian dressing for a few hours and thrown on the grill with salt/pepper!

If you want some meat this year, and I get the opportunity, I will put down a few extra deer and keep in the deep freeze for ya.

We eat some form of deer meat about 3-4 times every week. Luckily my wife and girls love it as much as do. Don't forget about hog too it is as good if not better than deer.

I'm with you now, but when I was in my teens and twenties I hunted a lot. But after I killed one when I was 14 I never took my gun again. After the 1st and only one I shot I started taking a camera and showed other hunters all the deer I found. I use to feed them in my yard and they would be 7 or 8 come everyday about 5:30. My youngest son had a 4 point buck that eat corn out of his hand.

That's one animal I haven't hunted. Wife and I know some friends down in the Ft. Deposit area that says his farm is ate up with hogs and that we are welcome to come shoot as many as we want. We just gotta find the time to get down there.

Hog hunting is fun especially with dogs and a knife!! But we have so many hogs in our area we cannot even put a dent in the population hunting that way. They completely destroy our land year after year.

I saw hogs one time in my life, and when we were in the Sipsey Wilderness of the Bankhead NF. A whole gang of them! Unfortunately, we were backpacking and not hunting.

About to change the brakes on my Tacoma this coming weekend. I've always used the OEM semi-metallic brake pads. Was wanting to try out aftermarket ceramic pads, but not sure if it's worth the extra coin, or if there is any performance upgrade over OEM.

I ran into two guys with an Afghan Wolfhound out there that were paid to hunt hogs.

A lot of times those are too aggressive for the rotors and eat into them.

Thanks Tyler, I guess I'll stick with my $50 OEM semi metallic pads. They've been great all these years, but was curious about different pads. I was going to do the EBC upgraded rotors and green pads, but I already bought the OEM rotors.

If you use the ceramic on a daily driver they are ok but they are not good offroad. They don't absorb heat very well, and offroading they don't get the air they need to cool off and will create soft brakes going down hills.

That's good to know. I'd like to upgrade to better stopping power, but OEM has always been great, so I won't go down that rabbit hole!

I upgraded to Tundra rotors and calipers. After adding all the weight of bumpers, sliders, skids, winch and RTT it didn't want to stop very well but the Tundra upgrade was a big improvement
