If this is a local truck from around Shelby County TN or De Soto County MS, you won't have anything to worry about.

I had the white stickers on mine until I pulled them off. Mine spent its life around Tyler Texas from the CarFax reports. Gravel will wear off the paint. You get a little surface rust around the wheel wells. I had more surface rust on my F150 and never gave it a second thought.

You can clean off the surface rust if you have any.

    upload_2019-10-6_18-2-28.jpg

    Then prime and paint it.

The inside of the frame will tell the story.

All of its service records are from the Memphis, TN area. At Principle Toyota and then Mount Moriah Autos. Salesman said the owner of that dealership bought the truck 3 years ago and has used it as his hunting truck.

Are the rockerbox seals what I see at the left edge of pic #5? Would the fact they've been left open be concerning?

If dirt and road salt/brine are in rocker boxes and moisture is getting in it will cause rapid rust fron inside. I would remove a seal and check inside with a bright flashlight. You can remove those seals and spray Fluid Film inside using a 360 degree spray wand, clean outer surfaces and re seal with gorilla tape. There is an even better seal tape sold for home window installs but I dont know what its called. With the seals removed the rocker boxes can be hosed out and allowed to dry before FF.

poke your fingers in the frame holes and feel along the bottom
bring a magnet on a stick and fish around back there see if anything comes out

also ask for picture of around the cat area

I'm wondering why the dealership didn't actually "wash" under the truck. pure laziness or figuring no one would try to clean and see?

I do see a rust spot in pic3 post #11 under the sticker at the edge of the frame. get a better pic of that from the side to make sure

Here are pics of the sticker with some surface rust nearby. The next pic is the frame above the driver's side rear wheel. The last pic is of the rear drivers side leaf pack.

Some engine pics. I dug around in some of the frame holes with my finger and came out with dry dirt. Its red but didn't look or feel like rust.

honestly doesn't look bad at all, that's tire rub now that I see it, uniform "scrape" so-to-speak
