How do “we all know I don’t like to do maintenance”? I change my oil, filters, plugs, did my AT fluid change, done brakes and brake fluid flush, diffs. Those things are maintenance. You’ll find that stuff in any cars owners manual. Maintain the frame on a regular basis not so much. But thanks for the insult. The longer this thread gets the more I’m considering going and looking at a new ridgeline after my trucks frame is replaced.

I had a '71 El Camino, LT-1, turbo 400, & a 12 bolt. It was fun, and hauled a fridge, stove, washer & dryer all at the same time. Plus hauled ass when I wanted it too.
Got a '99 CRV w/220K on the clock, and the missus has an '18. Like 'em.
Real happy with the Taco, not much of a fan of the Ridgey, but I understand it's appeal to a certain crowd.
And gadamit, I Love me some pumpkin cookies!!!:D

The real fucked up part is that I had to also, even after spotting one in the wild and reading the tailgate badge to see what kind of shitbox rollerskate that was...

There is extensive support structure built into it to allow the truck look (no funny shaped beds) but in the end they engineered it to be just as strong only to weigh just as much as a body on frame...

    http://www.trucktrend.com/how-to/chassis-suspension/1705-honda-ridgelines-frame-the-untold-story

I debated ridgeline or taco for a bit but driving the ridgeline sucks... at least if you are used to a truck, great if you want that vague car feeling like a cadillac though.

Google "is the Chevy Trax a good car?" and you get this

"The Chevy Trax is not a very good subcompact SUV. It has underwhelming engine power, dull handling, and an uncomfortable ride. Interior quality is nothing to write home about either, and seat comfort, cargo space, and fuel economy are merely adequate"

Why would anyone pay north of $22k for a brand new vehicle with that kind of review lol, so many better options.

You're right the interior is great and the nifty stuff like the storage under the rear seat bench is awesome... but... it drives like crap. Vague steering, braking, handling... and for those of us used to how a truck drives... it doesn't drive like a truck. Feels really weird and for a similar sized truck the low driver height makes it feel 10x bigger so I never knew if I'd hit something with it (did a few test drives as the mpg is better and the trunk bed is neat).

The interior really puts the taco to shame, just couldn't buy it even though it sounds better on paper. I bought a boring car once (Mercury Sable)... never again.

Not sure but I read it's the same platform as the Buick Encore for whatever that's worth

The funny thing is 90% of people on this forum complaint about the Tacoma is that it does drive like a truck and not a race car. Those people probably would enjoy the Ridgeline more.

Lol my wife said the same, I was thinking Ridgeline for the few extra mpg... but she said it's a girly truck so buy the one that is ugly and mean looking =)

Love looking at my truck almost makes me not regret giving up the mustang (wife made me do that too)

Lol yeah if you want a car with a bed then the Ridgeline is for you. I came from a Ranger and am used to the bounce. That said I really liked being able to see my bed and back the truck in perfectly where I need to pickup my cargo and the Ridgeline I'd be pretty nervous about banging up the corners. The A pillars are huge and rear pretty much depends on the camera.

She does what I need and looks pretty doing it. Can't complain and she kinda looks like the Marty McFly truck which was one of my childhood loves too.
