Play in your tailgate..replace these

My tailgate had some back & forth play in it when latched so I replaced the bumper stops located in the latch attached to the frame. Easy to replace, and the tailgate now has absolutely no play in it.
Toyota Part # is 66321-04020 x2. Part # shows (Pass) but the parts are the same.
Remove the two 12mm bolts that secure the latch to the frame and replace the rubber stop. All there is to it.





New on Top / Old on bottom

What is the piece that’s secured by the two 12mms called? Mine are rusted to hell thanks!

 

I have to grease those to keep mine from squeaking but I've never noticed any play

Hey, was the nut on the back of these tack welded in place or did you need to take the tail light off to remove them?
