If you have a Dishnet sub, then you can use the DishAnywhere app to watch TV and your DVR'd shows on your phone. At the camp, I always just hook one of my phones to the TV and so we have 'satellite tv' to watch. Started thinking... Hmmm, why not try it in the Tacoma, lol!

This will not work on Factory radios, but if you have an aftermarket head unit, you just need a USB to HDMI cable for your phone, an HDMI to RCA converter box and cigarette lighter USB power plug. Hook up to the aux input. That's it. Now you can watch satellite TV in your Tacoma and use your 'bad ass' stereo for audio :)

So would there be a way to make this possible to work with the factory radios? Even if it means buying extra parts? Really would like this. Thanks for posting OP

I don't think you could do it on a factory radio because you need an auxiliary audio/video input (the standard Red/White/Yellow RCA connections).

Maybe if you could find a way to tap into the backup camera video input????

I used to have LCD screens in my sun visors, you could always just put a screen in one of your visors and run the video to the screen and audio to the radio. Just an idea :)

"At the camp", not when camping, lol! We have a camp on a lake and the TV's in the bedrooms don't get much on antennas, so I came up with using the phones to watch satellite TV when you want to watch TV :)
