I finally got some time install my @ARCHIVE Hammer Hangers. It was very time consuming and took about 9 hours total, but I also replaced a coolant temp sensor on a t4r, and oil change on a vw jetta in between the install lol. I ground the top rivet heads off and drilled them out with multiple small to large drill bits. Then I ground the lower rivet heads off and pried the stock hangers off, after that I used a balljoint press and popped them out. The only hard thing was that the lower rivets have a washer on top that's tack welded to the frame. So I pried them up and wiggled them back and forth until they snapped off. The last part was adding some zerks to new oem factory shackles and then installing the archive poly bushing kit. Next up is extended brake lines and new shocks!

Went up to Cleghorn to have some fun in the snow. It was wild ride to say the least! The trail was completely snowed in about halfway through and no one could get through it :frusty:

Got around to installing the front and rear @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc super bumps. I opted for the rear u-bolt flip as well and painted the top plate with some black steel-it. Chopped the u-bolts down and painted the tips black to try and prevent rust in the future.

Whereabouts is the alignment shop you use? I'm in the Long Beach / Lakewood area and will be needing an alignment soon. Not sure if it's worth it to go the lifetime Firestone route, just find a good local shop that I can trust or go to somewhere like RPM Garage who specializes in these types of vehicles.

The shop I went to is in Walnut, but I would definitely go to RPM Garage. They charge the same as RPM but do not specialize in these trucks. Some people have good or bad luck with Firestone, and in my experience it's best to have it done by a specialist.

Thanks! I guess that's what I'm weighing... do I go through the hassle of finding time to get to RPM or just stick with someone close. For my track car I do my own alignments or take it to a pro in the Southbay but I'm new to trucks so not sure what I should do.

If your suspension setup is close to stock I’d say any alignment tech can handle it!
