What generation are most 3rd gen drivers?

So some interesting discussion came up in another thread about owners generations. It made me curious.

Long story short. We were way off topic, mouthed off to a moderator, pages deleted, some users locked out(or maybe just me).

Anyway, share your opinions. Trash talk encouraged(light hearted and within TW rules of course).

 

Probably a good mix across the spectrum as the Tacoma has a wide appeal.

 

I'm going to guess the millennial group will account for the majority of members. That's the group my two sons are in..oh, they're ford guys.

 

I hate saying I’m a millennial but I am in that age range! Have a 2018 and still loving every day!

 

I denounce that generation when I found the existence of the Xennial generation.

 

Ugh, why do I have to be labeled as a millennial, the crazies make us all sound bad. XD

'86, loving my '16 Tacoma. I've wanted one ever since I first saw a blue second gen (I know I didn't get a second gen) looking all sexy, lifted, beautiful tires. Couldn't afford earlier in life.

 

I'm so glad you included that option. I hate being lumped in with those dirty millenials.

I dont understand why millennial is a bad thing, the largest most productive workforce in the US today is the millennial. They got a bad rap for being "spoiled" but through a lot of generational research the baby boomers are actually the generation that was the most "spoiled."

Think about it, they are coming into a workforce which demands education that places them into a significant amount of debt, a service and IT based economy instead of an industrial and manufacturing one, into an economy that faced a recession, a long-term war, a debt ceiling that continues to climb, climate change, corporations that slashed retirement and benefits, rising healthcare costs, and Social security will probably be empty by the time they retire.

 

Whoa youngster, good job. You either have your finances in order or ........the complete opposite.

In reality you’re correct. I think they mostly get labeled as the duck face Instagram do anything for a like post their whole life on social media and live in their parents basement generation. But yes. Most of them are very productive members of society.

 

I’m with you. I have hired and worked with many Millennials. I don’t see a problem. In fact, I find Millennials tend to have a healthier view on “life/balance/what’s important” than us older farts.

 

I don't pay rent.... sooo yee but I do put in 50hrs+ at work a week...

Interested to see results. No doubt the 3rd gen appeals to the younger crowd a little more. Most of the 2nd gens owners only my area seem to be middle aged or old men
