anyone know of a locking storage option for under the rear seats in 3rd gen DCSBs? I have the tuffy safe for behind the seat, but am looking for a way to secure a truck gun (300 blk pistol). thanks in advance.

I think it would be a good investment for your needs. Update if you buy it or something similar.

I just looked up the tuffy one you have. That looks like it could be the ticket for me. I usually just have a pistol.....or two.

I looked at that one myself, but saw conflicting reviews on Amazon. I know they are made to delay any smash and grabs, but the reviews weren’t to compelling. I still may buy one, but was hoping for a review on YouTube. If you buy that one, update us.

Be very careful carrying gun parts to the airport, my son had a rifle bolt in his luggage and the TSA had kittens. I guess he could have beaten someone with it but it would have taken awhile.

I need to take a closer look. But for much cheaper I might just as easily make a metal door with a lock that covers that part. I’ll let you know if I figure something out.

I think I’m going to do something like this as a “locking” option to carry legally here in CA. I’ll replace the turn latch.

Will you post an update if you find a lock that fits. I am not looking for anything more than slowing someone down or keeping kids from getting in there.

Anyone find a solution to replacing the little finger latches with locks for the under the backseat storage compartments? And no I'm not gonna go buy a complete aluminum case unit for 500+.

I know this is old, but one of those negative reviews on Amazon is probably mine. That behind the seat locker from Tuffy is a huge POS and tarnishes the Tuffy brand.

Yeah I'm just looking to replace the latches with locks like a cabinet lock I just didn't know if somebody's done that yet. If not I guess I'll have to engineer my own.
