I’ve gotten pretty good with Bondo and my HVLP gun.

 

You spray any clear yet? I remember that being what separates the men and the boys from my brief semester of auto body.

Super easy to screw up, way hard to fix.

 

I need to get insurance so i can get a permit to move it. then get it to pass smog which shouldn’t be to hard.

 

Or just drive across town and hope you dont get pulled

 

I’ve sprayed that two stage clear in a can where you have to push the catalyst in the bottom. It did not go well. The clear flaked off rather badly. It’s like called 24k or something.

 

Blending with clear gives me a headache, I start seeing things that aren't there

 

Cheap clear has a tendency to do this when applied to thick or too late

I’ve had bad experience with clear. I put clear on the Miller side door and it bubbles up spectacularly. I had to redo the whole thing.

Something about off gassing

I just drove my roommate's GF's 86 Toyota pickup, fuck.... even as broken and small as that thing is it was a hoot. The shifter is so vague my brain had to go into former tacoma muscle memory to drive and it makes so many noises I couldn't hear the engine.... was fun, want a pickup again

 

Ill just pull the head. Drop it off at a shop. Throw it back together and should be good to go

 

Good lord that’s expensive stuff.

How did you clean your spray guns in school? I always clean out the hopper with Acetone and let it spray until it runs clear. I soak the nozzle in Acetone too.

I can’t for the life of me clean out the strainer at the bottom of the hopper cup.

 

Or just call AAA and use a free tow
