    That's what I thought...
I drive Kent Ave sometimes during a day, and see pieces here and there, figured it'd look cool at night... And it definitely does:thumbsup:

Its definitely a cool park! and its a plus that my cousin lives down the street, so its a close walk.

They also have an urban garden there. I thought it was kinda funny. Apparently its a place for the hipsters to grow stuff. Little do they know that that stuff exits a few miles outside of the city too

Why is it so hard to get a quote on painting a hood?!

top side, sand down old paint, prime and paint in 040, and no install needed, because im going to do that

I would try possibly painting it yourself if no one wants to paint it. Being that it’s white you could do a decent job on it and not really notice?

    Yea, definitely an option.

Ive now gotten quotes from $350-750.. more than I wanted to spend, but Im also not going to get this done this or next month.

I agree those numbers can be a little high, but for instance when I got my glass hood it was around 3-500 depending on the shop. The problem with the hood is its a lot of square footage to paint regardless and so to use quality paint I would expect with clear to be about $150 just in paint. The advantage of your hood is it isnt glass so the tedious process of sanding and filler should be very minimal for you.

Do you know anyone who has an HVLP gun that typically uses compressed air? If anything you could always sand it and then base coat it white yourself. Depending on how you feel you could then try out doing a clear coat. I will warn you though, quality clear is not cheap and you either need to go to a dedicated paint store or order it online. If I still lived there, I would try giving it a shot for ya. Worst case the painter just wet sands your paint coat and then repaints with his stuff.

As far as I know super white is a single stage paint with no clear coat. @fatfurious2 i have very limited knowledge as far as paint goes but imo if you were ever going to diy paint something using super white is a great place to start
