Current owner of a 12 4WD TRD Off-Road DC and likely to sell and pick up a 2020 as a replacement in the near future. The new truck will definitely have the TRD OR Premium package which includes the Technology Package as well. I'll go aftermarket on bars (suggestions welcomed), mats (WeatherTech unless someone can convince me of something better) and tires (KO2's and no way to change my mind). No use for a tonneau as I tow a trailer with a sorta bastardized fifth wheel / gooseneck hitch. Baja Rack roof rack, hitch system and Firestone bags will transfer over. This is pretty much my base.

I've been out of the loop for some time and don't know the real benefits of many of the options available today. This might be a good time to let y'all know I'm on the up side of 70 but we still spend several weeks knocking around the southwest each year and prefer boon docking to developed campgrounds so I'm looking for options that make travel, towing and moderate offroading (think White Rim Trail) more enjoyable. Is the clear coat paint protection package worth it? I've been know to do a little custom pin striping. How about the cargo bed LED's? Anyone have the center console safe? Is it adequate for a firearm? Got several electronic gizmos (some of which I can actually use) so I think the phone cable and charge package might be worth the $200 - comments? Anything I'm missing from the Toyota build sheet?

Thanks in advance for any help here and appreciate you letting us old farts hang around.
