@FreshMexicanTaco Have you had a chance to see if the fitment is the same for 2020's with the larger screen?

For power for my DMM I’m planning on running a Blue Sea 1045 usb charger concealed in the dash behind the head unit. I would really prefer to have this wired to my accessory fuse block under the hood, but I don’t want to kill my battery from the charger being on all the time so it will need be wired to a switched circuit. A power tap to the factory fuse block is the easiest solution but I really don’t want to cut up the factory fuse block cover. I’ve been waiting on Meso to make another run of their extended height covers but it’s been months with no updates. Anybody have other ideas on wiring this up?

If you don't tow, there is an empty brake controller harness connector tucked under the drivers kick panel. The heavier gauge blue wire in it is non-keyed power. I tossed a spade in there for my dual USB outlet.

YES! i did check that out as soon as they hit the lots, the DMM WORKS ON 2020's just like it does on 2016-2019. I havent checked any trims below trd's but im sure its the same.

Not for non-keyed power. I did tap the power port for my front camera though. Piece of cake.

I installed my TacoGarage multimount last night. Excellent product. Hides completely out of sight (to the driver) unless needed. Fit and finish and packaging were great. Very clever and well-thought-out product. Strong and sleek. Super happy with the results.

So I have an idea. Still waiting for my truck but thinking. Since the 2020’s only have one open slot for aftermarket switches, I wonder if I were to relocate the stock USB plug and hide it behind the stereo. Run an iPhone lighting cable up through the DMM. This would allow the iPhone/iPad connected to charge and run Apple CarPlay. In addition, this would open another port for an additional switch.

Just a couple weeks to go and I’ll be able to play around.

@FreshMexicanTaco Hey mate, got some questions regarding the DMM and options. Would really like to take advantage of your 20% off sale but am confused about what products/options I actually NEED.

Obviously I need the DMM itself, and as far as I know all the options come with the one ball for mounting. But, I plan on attaching one phone only to it for the time being, a S7 in an OtterBox Defender case (thick ass mumba jumba).

Would the second option (DMM + 1 Slim Grip) be all that I need for this application?

I only ask because when trying to view individual products for comparison/explanation in your store, there is no product named "slim grip" so no real pictures/options to view. Just not sure if the slim grip is the same as the "phone/small tablet mount kit".

I want to make sure we're on the same page. I'm aware of the brake controller connection behind the dash. However, I'm looking for a connection that turns off with the ignition. When you say "non-keyed power" I assume that means its powered regardless of the ignition switch, correct?

I'm trying to avoid a dead battery if I forget to unplug a phone or ipad when I stop for the night.

Sorry about that! I misread you original post.

The brake controller connection is non-keyed power, so I am able to charge anytime. This was important to me since the power outlet could be used if I only wanted to charge with the engine running. Options! :D

For keyed power, tapping into the power outlet is a piece of cake. Here is a pic from the HAI override cable installation for keyed power to the front camera:

I'm not sure what size batteries are in an iPad, but a full charge on a phone should never kill your battery (4,000mAh-ish).
