Never been a big fan of ditch brackets.....mounted my old rear facing side shooters up top....
Before I did a host of stuff around the house. Gotta run power to em and see how they do.

I advise not storing garbage in your frame. Place it in a trash can.

i mean the garbage paint inside that has not fully come loose and can be easily picked out with a magnet or shopVac
maybe I shall look for an extendable flexible flat head screwdriver to scrape some more paint up, would that work?
so far I can only detect it on the bottom channel with a finger test

there is a chance for snow here on Friday my sister said, heavy rain on Thursday, so the weather is not looking good to finish this up quickly

Wait for it to snow and flex on the piles in the parking lots. Then it’ll all fall out

or find a crane and pick it up by the nose

how about an air hose shoved inside maxed to 200 psi?
or might that be too much to handle safely

my thoughts are that it has not fully de-laminated completely, just on the edges
and i have no clue if its really a good idea to spray over that much loose paint and will just cause future problems

then i have more questions on how the fck this de-laminated in the first place!

You could have @Tacomania open it up so it’s open C channel instead of boxed then you’ll have easy access to the whole thing!

there is a 1st gen from Iowa (with I think a 2oo4 model) that found his frame to have a hole in it after it started driving funny that his Iowa Toyota dealer mechanic never found and is a few months past the whole swap deal.

Iowa does not have a winter problem o_O

my 2005 had the frame replaced under the recall at the dealer in Iowa city. Cedar Rapids did the inspection but had Iowa city do the work because they were moving locations. Took them about a week (after the 8 month wait for the frame)

It's. 27. 27 years old, being driven in winter states. That's how. Dude.

Air hose, 60 psi, it'll take care of the crud. Any higher and you'll rip your skin off. Blast it, coat it, park it inside for a day or two. Ventilate. Drive on.

Or bring it down here and someone will buy it from you for $2590 cash money and then you won't have to worry about it :D

    its not 27 yet!

here is what i know from my limited knowledge base, paint protects naked metal from the elements, chip your paint and it is exposed

how do i have internal chips in the frame?
i have always done a decent job of hosing down the outside during the winter and some chemicals probably found their way inside to sit around, i do not have plugged drain holes from sand or mud or anything, but now these loose paint chips are starting to block the drain holes! its madness!

thanks for the psi warning, i was gonna set the compressor at max 200psi and goto town
