What generation are most 3rd gen drivers?

The Millennials missed all the concerts in the 70’s.

But this is just the nature of life. We want to make things easier and better for those that come after us. It impossible to know what the response to that better life will be.

The difference is the earlier generations were truly adapting to survive and thrive. Our current generations are adapting to more perceived struggles. Mostly social hurdles and learning how to respond to the extreme over corrections of today’s sensitive society.

 

Millennial of 91'. Few bad apples around but a lot of good hard working people too. I put in my time working 60-70 hours a week pulling wrenches and I do very well at it. I also know a lot of people my age who run around whining and complaining they have no money and there is a housing crisis here and whatever, but they're also the same people who don't wanna work, and still expect that they deserve what Joe Blow has who's putting in his time and doing well.

There are good people within every Generation, almost the same as these trucks really. More often than not your only gonna hear about the bad things, for example 3rd gens. They we have the 2nd gens which had their fair share of issues when they first came around but a lot of people on here are saying stick with 15' and older now because there a better truck. Then we got the 1st Gens which are untouchable and people love them now, which also had their fair share of problems. Anyone who seen those pictures of that Colorado bent in half that was hauling that trailer, you can probably dig of a dozen pictures or more of 1st Gens bent in half for every colorado you'll see. Trying to keep this Tacoma related

It’s interesting now that there’s a couple hundred votes in seeing where we all lie. I’m my mind a Tacoma just screams ruggedness, youthfulness and adventure. But I think that’s part of what makes it so fun to drive. Knowing that it can usually handle the things that come with that reputation.

Sometimes I feel like I’m too old for the truck at 37. But now that I know how many of you old farts are driving these I’ll give myself a break.

 

It’s funny most 3rd Gen owners I see where I am are right around your age. 1st and 2nds seem to be all really young or fairly old gentlemen.

 

It’s the same where I live. You can almost tell their age without seeing them depending on the trucks condition.

An old ragged out of lifted 1st gen or pre-taco pickup is almost always early 20s or younger. The same era trucks that are really well maintained and still in stock form are almost always 55+.

Born in ‘86, not a millennial. I was raised by a ‘nam vet. My 2019 is my first Tacoma and so far it’s been a great truck!

Yeah, where I'm at it its usually:

Late teen, early 20s in 1st gens
40s-70s in 2nd gens
Late 20s-early 40s in 3rd gens

 

And basically every Colorado or Canyon I see around is always 60+
