We hired out first millennial for our team at work..... He's so stereotypical it's pathetic, just this past Friday he called a meeting with me to discuss his feelings. This is like the 4th time he's done this.

I have some folks you should talk to.

This level of ignorance is mind-blowing.

We Baby Boomers are spoiled when compared to the earlier generations and every preceding generation benefit from more modern conveniences that make life easier (not simpler). The huge need today for skilled labor workers is a result of the perceived need and push that all must have a college education. In my area the need for those willing to get their hands dirty has got to the point that drug testing is sometimes no longer required or one is given a second, third chance to pass a failed drug test...

Haha. Been there, done that, got the scars to talk about and the friends that can't talk about it anymore. Our wars haven't been fun but it's a cakewalk compared to storming beaches around the world or huddling in a cold foxhole undersupplied and waiting to be overrun.

Ones that understand dealing with the needs/wants/demands/emotions of patients, families and doctors is a part of the job... I would not want their job...

Agreed. I was born in 1981. I’ve never felt I completely fit the characteristics of a Millennial. Until this post, I wasn’t aware of the term Xennial—late ‘70s to early ‘80s.
