Maybe a "change log" is in order at the top of the beta page.

    "Date - Files added/files removed"
    "Date - Files added/files removed"
    And so on...

I'm not sure how that's possible since these are not on my AWS server. But I will double check.

It would be great to have a single setup / single file type for everyone but not if dongle users are going to fight us on it.

@OVTune any progress on the PCM dump tube files for the M/T crowd?

ETA I am fine going dongle-less if that can speed up the process...

FFS. Relax people. Beta is Beta, not final. I don't panic because I don't have the latest beta version for my particular truck. Drive the tune you have and wait for the next round of updates. I just download them when they post and install them when I get a chance. Every round for me has gotten better, Beta or not. If you missed the last round just wait for the next round for your particular config until it's Final.

Speaking as a dongle user, you have every right to switch us all over to the current dongle-less setup. It's your business and if it makes things work more smoothly and is more secure, then by all means, you should do it.

As a dongle user who has had the kit since August of 2017 and run every version of the tune so far I am looking forward to ordering the hand held unit to use the p5f files so I don't need to drag my ancient laptop out every time I want to update something.

The 19800 PCM unicorn files are indeed out in the wild, I've been running it since Oct 3rd, and loving it

It would be great for everyone to use P5F, this simplifies development and distribution process. I simply like you to consider method used for switching dongle user. Instead of going to a software based registration using Windows hardware key, update Toyflash to handle USB dongle authentication. Or update PCMflash to handle P5F? I know there are complex encryption methods used to build these files, if this isn't feasible, I understand. Just know I accept software reg under protest :crapstorm:

I second...or third...or fourth this. The dongle works for me, but if it means less work and quicker updates...send me a dongle-less registration right now.

That's odd because I also downloaded the 19800 pcm file for 04B04 when you first released it last week. Link was on the page to download but not anymore.

I down loaded the same 91 19800 pcm file on 10/1 and two attempts to install it resulted in it being "unsuccessful" and with one of the attempts resulting in "brake override malfunction". I've submitted ZD ticket #10472 on 10/5 and no response yet. Based on the info from @OVTune above, starting to wonder if these files were prematurely placed on the beta download link before they were deemed ready.

Mistakes happen, and I'm glad that it was only a mistake.
It didn't make sense to me that all of the .pcm files would be removed without explanation, and now we know that they were removed by accident or in error.
    All's well that ends well . . .

yep same. Products and technology change over 2-3 years. The days of running the same thing for 10 years are long gone

move to dongleless or pick up a handheld. I don’t think it’s really that big of an inconvenience, especially when my flashing computer is unchanged since I set it up in November 2017 :notsure:

I moved to a new dedicated tuning laptop earlier this year, I won't be upset if @OVTune has us move to dongle-less
